I think my laptop has a virus, how can I tell?

While deleting my e-mail, I accidentally clicked one and it opened up, but I deleted it. I don't know if its, because of that or not, but now when ever I try to type something my computer just starts automatically typing 555555555555555555555555555555555555555 over and over again. Also I cant move my cursor unless I hold shift or alt.

the internet doesnt work and the computer is slow

i hav that at my laptop once

but go to best buy and go to the geek squad

it costs like 200 bucks lol

my dad gave it to his friend and fixed it

your whole computer slows down, your internet doesn't respond, this happens when you download too many things.(it happened to a friend of mine!) then take it to geek squad. And you most likely have a virus if what you say is true about your laptop. yes i am a techno geek!=^_^=

You have been infected with a nasty malware, your security soft has failed to do it's job.

First do an online scan and clean with http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html AND http://www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan/

Now it's time to replace that miserable insecurity software that you use; download the installers for

Unplug the internet line, uninstall the junk and install these (if necessary in safe mode) one by one with each necessary reboot done.
