  1. Try to buy another tank bigger though mabey go and see the ones at the oet store play with him for 5hrs. every day take him with you!

  2. Maybe he is cold, whats the temps in the viv, does he have access to UVB?

  3. ummm no he is not lonely. bearded dragons are by large solitary creatures. i would guess he's either ill in which u need oto see a vet or there is something wrong with his viv (humidy temp or UV light/ light placement)

you couldnt of had it for very long since he's only 2 months old.

my advice check everything then once everythings ok take him to the vet if he doesnt get better

  4. maybe you should try taking him to a vet he really sounds sick.

  5. You should not get another dragon; you need to determine why your baby is lethargic and return it to health.  Beardies do not suffer from "depression".  It's extremely unwise to apply human emotions and physiological conditions to reptiles.

Here's the normal routine of a bearded dragon:  1- they wake up early in the morning.  2- they get into their basking spot (good idea to have it on a timer so you don't have to get up the same time it does) 3-once they warm up a bit they eat.  4- they go back to their basking spot to absorb UVB/heat to digest their food.  5 they nap and repeat 3 & 4 occasionally.  6 - They go to their hide box in the evening and sleep so they can start all over again the next day.

Beardies are **not** highly active reptiles.  Some will chase food, others let the food come to them.  They're fairly intelligent for reptiles.  They soon realize that it's a waste of energy to chase food..... they figure out pretty soon that if they wait in the same spot food will come to them.  You need to with hold live food sometimes when offering salads.  A beardie will "hunt" for food if necessary.  With salads, it will need to see the greens to peek curiosity.  It will go to the salad plate as long as there are not bugs to crawl it's way.

Beardies should not be kept together unless you have very large enclosures.  Males are highly territorial.  A single male needs the minimum space provided in a 6 foot long tank.  If you have large outdoor enclosures, then you "may" be successful in keeping pairs or groups.  I don't recommend it.

Make sure that you are providing proper UVA/UVB lighting.  UVA is mandatory for stimulating appetite and in setting the proper biologic clock cycle for your dragon.  UVB is mandatory in the absorption of calcium.  Unless proper UVB is provided, your dragon can suffer from MBD (metabolic bone disease).

Is your basking spot hot enough?  The basking area must be 95F - 110F.  The temp gradient at the other end of the tank needs to be 75F-85F.

Are you feeding correctly?  Babies need 6-12 dusted 1/4" crickets daily.  Salads need to be offered at least 3-4 times a week if not daily.

Is your humidity too high??  What substrate are you using?  Does it retain too much moisture?  Never use bark, coconut husk or similar materials with beardies.  Calci/Vita sand is ok, although some feel it is dangerous.  (Personally, I've never had any problems with calcium based sand) Does your beardie gape while basking?  If you notice your beardie gaping it could have a respiratory infection.

You should take your beardie to a vet specialising in herps.  It's possible that your beardie has parasites or a bacterial infection.  Only a licensed vet can properly diagnose and medicate your beardie.

  6. make sure your bearded dragon has the right amount of heat in the tank.

    when there warm there active.

when there cold, there more calm and tired.

  7. Bearded dragons do not suffer from depression or become lonely. Your beardy is acting normal. They just sit there. That's what they do. They don't run all around all the time. And if your temperatures are too low, it won't eat much.

  8. Maybe he is lonely, you should take him to the vets to see what they say...

  9. Maybe consult a vet if you concerned or buy him something for his tank
