I think my pc has a virus. ?

It keeps shutting down, and when I start it back up internet explorer opens like 25 times! I have an anti-virus/spy-ware protector installed already and it hasn't detected anything. What do I do now? Can I fix it myself?

Smitfraudfix - this software helps remove adware thats forces internet browser to go onto links which promotes Malicious Anti-virus softwares.

Hijackthis - This software helps remove deep virus hiding in the registry (Best for you is to get a professional to help you while using it.)

A sure fix to the problem would be to uninstall your virus protection program. Reinstall the virus protection program. Update your virus protection program. Run a scan of your entire computer for viruses and spyware. Delete all viruses and spyware. Backup all your important imformation. If the problem continues get your windows (or fedora core :P) CD and reinstall Windows. Make sure when you reinstall Windows that the hard drive gets formatted. That is what I would do in this situation.
