I think my pet budgies toe (on his leg) might be broken :( ?

Question

I have a pet budgie (male) he is turning 5 in October and I think that 1 of his toes on his leg might be broken. It seems pretty weak and he cant stand on it well. Wen I compare his broken toe to his other toes... I can tell its broken because he has no energy to make it stay normal... do u get wut im saying? PLEASE help i dunt know wut to do :( and i dunt know any vets in toronto :( im so scared... thank u

Call around and find a vet that takes avian patients or exotic animals. There are plenty of them. They should beable to tell you if the toe, or the foot is hurt or broken. Check the birds nails also to see if they are to long as this can often cause problems. It is always better to be safe than sorry with birds as they can go down hill so fast. You can lower his perches and his dishes to make things easier for him and keep him warm and quite until you get him to vet. Good luck

you could try calling vets but i don't think many specialize in small birds. this is quite common you might just have to let the bird adjust to it over time.

Well why don't you get some toilet roll and put it on the end of the cage and remove the perches and put a bowl with seed's and another with water so he wont have to put weight on his toe.Hope this helps.Oh and tell him i said happy birthday...:)
