Question:

I think my sewing machine's busted. I threaded it and stuff but when I try to sew, it doesnt.?

I press the pedal, and moved the fabric and stuff but it doesnt sew right. it just spits the thread at it and makes a big tangle. And when it does sew, its all tangley and comes apart.

  1. Take the needle out.  Roll the handle until the sewing are is as high as it will go.  Open the metal plate below it and remove the bobbin.  You more then likely have thread bunched up in there.  Clean it out and roll the are a little one way or the other to get the teeth underneath to move so you can make sure you got all the trash out of it.

    Then put a neatly threaded bobbin back in and you should be fine to reassemble and get started sewing.

  3. The bobbin should *not* be empty.  It should be would full of thread.

    Make sure the feed dogs are up.

  4. In order to sew the bobbin must have thread, and be in place, otherwise the top thread has nothing to attach to.

    Do I understand your question?

    When you are sewing with the threaded bobbin in place, did you by mistake moved the stitch size?

    Did you bring the foot down?

    Are the teeth up?

  5. Have you tried unthreading and re-threading the sewing machine? Sometimes that works. Also, check the manual to make sure you're threading it right.
