I think my sister.....?

has agoraphobia. I was watching Nim's Island yesterday and in the movie Jodie Foster is afraid to leave the house. My sister hardly ever wants to leave the house. This has been pretty recent. She continually washes her hands. She told me that she washes her hands 200 times before she goes to bed. She is in the restroom for a long time when she's washing her hands. This has really been a problem. My mom wants to go to Disneyland on Sunday, but my sister doesn't want to go. She is just terrified of germs. She is very paranoid. She will not go to sleep unless she feels clean. Any ideas on how to help her?

Sure sounds like obsessive compulsive disorder. She needs to see a Dr, there are medications and treatments that can help.

Just tell her once is enough and if she has had her shots nothing is gonna make her sick or get a deadly desise.

Sounds like she has OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder).  She should see a doctor.

maybe you can get her a bottle of germ-x so she can feel cleaner in public places.im kinda a neat freak and i hate germs but im not bad.

Have your Mom make a Dr. appointment for her there are medications to help her. OCD is a tough thing my son has it

That's not Agoraphobia. Agoraphobia means that a person is afraid to leave the house because they're afraid of going alone to public places and crowds and people in general. What your sister has is obsessive compulsive disorder.
