Question:

I think my ski bindings were mounted wrong, by the shop, but im not sure.?

the binding on the right ski is about half an inch further forwards than the one on the left ski, im wondering if they did it for a reason because the right ski has a "right" sticker on it...

  1. When skis are mounted each ski is balanced and the balance point is marked. Then, normally, the bindings are mounted according to which ski's balance point is closest to the "balace point" printed on the ski. So both bindings will line up.

    What most likely happened is the tech marked both skis for balance, but forgot to even it out. If he gives you some BS line about them supposed to be that way, tell him you want your money back and he needs to go back to ski tech school.

    Unless....you got a really crappy pair of skis and the balance points were WAY off and 1/2 inch was all the better the tech could do.

    The most I've ever seen two skis off center was 2cm. That was a bad pair and we shipped them back to K2 before they ever got drilled.


  2. They shouldnt be like that.  take your skis back to the ski shop and show them.
