I think my x bf put something in my gas tank cuz it's ruined now what could he have done to it?

he beat me up and told me he was gonna ruin my car now it won't work i drove a little bit and it died so the mechanic says he also thinks he put something in the gas, what could have he put in it? my mechanic is really busy and i am just trying to narrow it down! help?!

ive heard putting sugar in the gas tank can really mess up your car, try it and find out, do it to his car

I agree with the first poster that you won't know unless you have it drained but it could be sugar,honey, basically anything besides gasoline. Also press charges on the punk. you got vandalism right there and it would take a chunk of change to get that fixed. I know that the judge is not supposed to be biased but if you can have some sort of proof that your ex stated that he was going to ruin your car you'd win.

Your first priority should be...to get a locking gas cap...so you can prevent any further tampering.

It's really hard to know what he did...without being there.

Hope you're ok..and  if your mechanic is so busy that he can't find out what's wrong with your vehicle..then..I would go somewhere else.

It's very difficult to diagnose what he put in unless you have the tank

drained.
