i dont think so. eddy curry just isn't very good at all compared to mcdyess. mcdyess can shoot the 15 foot shot and he provides defense while curry is a POOR defender who definitely cannot shoot. and ben gordon isn't the all-around talent that rip hamilton is. basically you aren't getting nearly the same vaule in this trade.

There is no doubt that Detroit can use a shooter other than Billups but Gordan is too streaky. At least with Hamilton you know you will be getting guaranteed scoring nightly and he is very strong mid range and can finish at the hoop as well. Gordan is one dimensional as in all he has is that shot from 3.

Not sure that Chicago wants anything to do with a trade that involves Curry. He did not leave there on good terms and they would need another team to get involved due to salary.

money would be an issue. but if i were ben gordon id leave chicago asap cuz hes gonna get outplayed by the rest of the guys fighting for the playing spot

Why not? I just don't think the Knicks would trade Curry for Mcdyess since Dice is already considered an NBA veteran and Curry is just about to hit his prime. Hamilton for Gordon seems like a good deal for both teams. Gordon will give much offensive power than RIP is giving to Detroit. He is stronger than RIP -- no doubt. RIP meanwhile will do his curls in Chicago which can be of good use to the young team.

Luxury Tax prevents that....Mcdice for curry could work, but rip for ben is no good gordon plays no D and that wouldn't be needed in Det.
