And how should I tell my parents? I'm scared because we have had money troubles for a little while now, would an outpatient program, inpatient program, or therapy work the best? and how expensive would it be?

  1. Tell them what's going on don't worry about the money there are places that you can go based on your parents income and only a Dr can say what is best for you but plz talk with your parents

  2. It won't start to show until your later teenage years...17-21. You won't know yet.

  3. You may not be a complete moron but most people are somewhat moronic when it comes to self diagnosis of a mental disorder especially schizophrenia. Self diagnosis is dangerous and usually wrong. Only a qualified psychiatrist can diagnose schizophrenia (which is not a single disease but a spectrum of disorders) and you should see your family GP physician for a recommend to one if any symptoms are present. Symptoms are such as given by one of the links in a Yahoo! web search (wikipedia has a good summary) which you should familiarize yourself with. Also tell your parents of your fears. That is probably what they are just unfounded imaginative fears.

Good luck with your confession to your parents, good mental health, peace and Love!
