I think that I need more friends, to invite round to where I live and to go round to where they live?

I have finished university and have same friends on Face book, and go to a kickboxing class to socialise but I don't think that I have made enough connections at that class - I got one guy's number from that class. And on the day of graduation I was told by someone who lived in Salford as well that anytime I want to phone him to arrange to go out that I could, he lives in Salford just not near where I live, what do I do?As I have Friends but they live far out or are doing more years in university and I finished in June but they are carrying on in September. And my other friends live far out in other areas!I just feel that my friendships could be so much more that's all.

  1. You could...

    a) Ring up the guy at Salford and arrange to go somewhere. He might not live near you, but it's something to do. Maybe next time you can talk him into picking *you* up instead.

    b) Find *one* person at your kickboxing class (who may share your interests) and be friends with him/her. Once you form a steady friendship, invite him round to your house, and he will repeat the gesture. Then you can find another person and make friends with them, and then you already have a group of 3! Build up from there.

    c) Organise a big get-together for your friends who live far away/still at university. Hey, it only happens once in a blue moon, so it can't hurt too much, can it?

    d) Go to your local socialising place (ie. bar, club) and find some people to be friends with. They're bound to live in your area if you go to the same place.

And if all else fails - find some people on face book. Not that I'd really recommend it though. And there is always, of course, yahoo answers...

Hope this helps, and remember to play a good host if you want to keep them coming round! Good luck!
