my only complain is - that on american TV there was to much beach ball -+ why do we have the beach ball girls to disgrace as having to be the only ones to wear such a tiny bikini= this rules surely must have come from an kinky official ,with disrespect for woman .

I agree, it is the most spectacular one ever.

I don't think the bikinis are disrespectful, rather HOT actually.  I hope it will stay.  But if someone wants to wear T's and shorts, that is fine with me too...

I just hope the Men's beachball wouldn't adopt speedos... eerw

They were the US's best medal haul since 1904 (in non-boycotted Olympics!) SO it was good in that respect. There was no more cheating and scandal than usual. So I say China did a good job. Though I reserve the 'best ever' distinction, because from what I've head from many people who have been to a few different Olympics games: Sydney is still #1 hands down

I'm pretty sure the beach volleyball girls choose to wear that for ease of movement. Similar to the skimpy uniforms all track athletes wear. I don't think anyone would argue if they wanted to cover up more. I'm certain it's their choice. Just like the Muslim women who chose to cover up her skin when she ran track events. So quick to blame skimpy outfits on guys.. most of the time though, it's womens own choice to 'go skimpy'.

yeah, this past olympics has been great. i won't forget it. but i don't have much to compare it with--the only other olympics i saw was athens 2004, and i didn't even pay that much attention to it.

I was pissed off that they had commercial breaks during the closing ceremony, i mean, we could've had shots of the athletes during the ceremony breaks.

and most of the times when the USA DOESN'T win a gold medal or if they are not on the podeium, they dont show the medals ceremony. I wanted to hear the different national anthems
