I became unemployed/retired November 2007. I applied for unemployment insurance benefits. They denied it and I appealed. I won the appeal. Within one week of me winning my appeal I had the California Franchise Tax board investigating my past filing claims. Funny thing is I was a Texas resident during the years they were investigating. They claimed I should have submitted a tax return and I said WHY?!?!?! I'm a TX resident!!!

Anyways, when I beat those b******s the Federal Government started snooping around my tax records. This was all within 30 days of winning the appeal. I got a sweet 8 grand for back payments.

Did the California Unemployment Insurance people conspire with the California Tax Board to get money out of me? And when that FAILED they NARC'ed me out to the FEDS?

PS..the FEDS sent me a notice saying they recieved information about retirement income back in 2006. Which is funny because I didn't retire until November 2007.

    As far as the FEDS getting the year wrong - they get a LOT of things wrong...


  2. Oh my do these people honestly think it is because your "black" This could go on with any type of race. The probable question is.....What was their reason of denying you? Also, what helped your appeal.. Honesly I don't know.. If everything is straight than I would def. call them up and ask what went on and why it went on.. It's YOUR case by law you have the right to know..! Good luck!

    PS-Careful how you spend the money and how fast just incase they say to pay it back..

  4. really not sure but i would raise some cain and find out what is up. get yourself a good lawyer and find out. i mean a good one and find out what your rights on and if you can prove it they are done. i didn't think this could happen but then again you must have made soemone agnry iw ould think sorry

  5. It's probably some s***w up in the paperwork or an enemy trying to make trouble for you. If everything is legal, I wouldn't worry about it.
