Question:

I think there's sand stuck in my eye?

I went to the beach yesterday, and when I came back I felt something in one of my eyes. I literally stretched my eye out to see if I could find what's in there, but I don't see anything. I washed it out with water and I used some eye-drops but I still feel something in there.

It feels as if it's sand stuck beneath the eyelid and whenever I close my eyes and move my eye around, I feel it move to the side where I turn my eye.

What should I do about it?

  1. this has happened to me before too. it will eventual push itself out. it took me about 2 weeks before it came out. for faster results you could have someone to blow on it

  2. try to wash it out better.

If not use milk,I know it sounds strange but milk is thick and will make it float to the surface. My mom put it in my eye when I got shampoo in my eyes and it gets it out and makes it stop hurting immediatly. So I think it will work for you too

  3. go t the doctor

  4. just wait it out

  5. ok wat u need to do is go to your bathroom and get your eye wet and then get a cloth wet and leve it your eye 4  minit and then blenk your eye a cuple times and when u r done it should be done

  6. Run lukewarm water over your eye over the sink so the water runs over the eye.  If you still have the feeling then you need to see a doctor ASAP.

  7. rinse your eye out again then go to a doctor and ask him what to do... it will come out eventually so don't worry... have you told your parents? well if you haven't I'm sure they will know what to do from experience...  hope this helped!

    IDK    wash it out better...

  8. Go to the pharmacy and get an eye-wash - it has a little cup like thingy on it and you can put it over your eye with the solution and move your eye around while you hold it there - it will usually wash out anything you have in your eye and it's a good idea to keep one in your first aid kit.  If you can't get it out with that then you really should go to a doctor or eye doctor or perhaps the emergency room (as it's the weekend) - you don't want to risk scratching the eye ball - besides it will drive you absolutely nuts until you get it out of there.

  9. You should see a doctor.  The sand may be gone and you may have scratched your lens on your eye.

  10. ok well when I got sand in my eye I blinked a lot and it didnt come out til a day later over night. If it doesnt come out u might want to go to the doctor and have him/her take a look at it.

  11. c a doc
