  1. I think you should just leave it alone. I guess it's what mother nature intended to do!  maybe it's a baby, maybe it's just natural

  2. There is nothing to worry about with owls in the neighborhood. This is really a GOOD thing! Though nocturnal, they are awake during parts of the day and hooting is a mating thing. They are looking for love just like you do. They hunt very small animals, rodents and such at night when the little furry buggers come out. Mice, rats, moles, voles, gophers, prairie dogs are ALL fair game and having these good guys in the neighborhood means these little guys are around to feed on and the owls are acting to keep their population down. Without the owls hunting the little bad guys, you might have a problem you would rather not have to deal with. You are at greater risk from the little furry rodents invading your living space than you are from any beneficial predator bird who happens to be in the area. If I heard owls in my neighborhood, I would be grateful for their presence. My problem is woodpeckers hammering on the side of my house because it makes a good soundboard...

  3. Are you sure it's an owl?

It may be a mourning dove.

  4. You are probably hearing morning doves who are cinnamon in colour with some black and white spots seen out eating around your home during the day. All birds whistle and coo at night time to allow others to know that all is well where they are. This is probably what you are hearing coo. Owls usally do not live around residential areas.

  5. just leave it a lone

  6. Not all owls sleep during the day, it could be a wild owl thats taken up residence and if it is hooting it is probably calling for a mate.

Leave it alone or you could be done for disturbing a protected species, if it really becomes a problem contact a wildlife leason officer or warden.

  7. 1. You could be patient and wait for it to leave.

    2. You could run outside and scream at it.

    3. Throw something at it.

  8. you think thats weird? there are bats flying around at 6 P.M. here, nocturnal doesnt mean they are only active in the wee hours of the morning

  9. It's normal. There are plenty of owls out where I live. They live off field mice and small animals, although If you have any cats or small dogs you might want to start keeping them inside just in case. We had a cat that got picked up by an owl.

  10. its problebly a garden owl they wont hurt
