Question:

I think there used to be an airspeed limit of 156Kts in a airport traffic area. If so,when did this change?

When I learned to fly 40 years ago, it was 156Kts for recip and 200kts for turbines. What year did this change? I have looked at the FAR's and it is now 200kts for all types.

  1. Airport traffic areas went away 15 years ago when we went to airspace A B C D E G -- my guess would be around then.
