I think there used to be a metal hanger-like piece of **** holding down the bag at the spot where it is affixed to the vacuum cleaner. I want to find it, and if possible, download the goddamn manual. Too much to hope for? Hoover Legacy 830.....Model # U5079-910......Serial # 069100005664. Please don't tell me it's SO old they deny ever having made the thing!
