If you are sitting up high off the ground (like before I was just sitting on a fence) and then jump off you get these sharp pains through your feet and ankles for a few secs after?

  1. becuz the nerves in ur feet arent ready to hit the ground...

  2. It's just from everything contracting together. All the nerves and spaces between cartilage and bone get compressed a little since it's a good amount of force. But then they release once the pressure is gone and you're good as new.

  3. You are landing on a solid surface, and all is coming to an abrupt halt.

Just like a car crash into a parked car.

Everything is loose, then cram-packed into a smaller space!

Yes, this happens to everyone, that's why Nike made Nike Airs!

  4. I think it is because your feet have nerve endings in them and when you jump down it triggers that pain.

  5. the energy from the force of the impact travels up your legs. a similar thing happens when you punch something really hard, i saw a slow mo video of a boxer training on a punching bag, a wave of energy was visibly running up the muscle and skin to his shoulder, it's really cool.
