the rangers are going to sign peter forsberg and mats sundin for 2.5 million each since they are friends and want to play for there countrymen markus naslund and henrik lundqvist.

this is not fair i will not watch hockey anymore.

Seriously, Forsberg got his drama fest last season...he has to wait his turn.  The NHL only has so much room for drama, and room for only one queen..and that position is already taken by Avery.

The link you posted last night said the expected salary should be around 7 million for the season. I honestly think the NHL Players Association will have a lot to say about him playing for only 2.5 million, especially with Vancouver offering 10 million.

What isn't fair about it???  I heard similar questions raised when Hossa went to my Wings.  Lets face it, there are some players out there who will take on a short term contract to have a chance to play with a certain team for any number of reasons.  Besides it's their right to do this.

Says who? I'm still not sold on the rumors that say Sundin is going to the NYRs and I highly doubt Peter Forsberg. Nothing has even happened yet and you have your panties in a twist.

still rumours at this point, if Sundin went for 2.5 mil, that is a huge slap in the face to Toronto, the team he claims to love.

The Leafs were in bad shape with the salary cap because of Sundin's 6.3 mil salary.

First of all, no. Second of all who cares about forsberg he will just get hurt anyway. Third of all Sundin will just look like an idiot when his other fellow country men, Lidstrom, Zetterberg, and Holmstrom beat them in the stanley cup finals.

As far as these guys being worth 2.5 Mil.

Sundin I believe is well worth that, I would think a fair price for him would be somewhere about 5mil a year.  

Forsberg has been so banged up with his foot issue that I think it would be stealing for him to get a contract worth 2.5mil.  

Sad thing is that Peter can't perform at the world class level anymore.

If they want to take less money to play somewhere they want who are you to complain?  They could take the highest offer, go somewhere they hate, slack off cause they hate it, and have millions more that they most likely have no use for.

Should they do away with all teams that might be a popular destination?  Players want to go to Detroit to win, NYC because its NYC, to their hometown team because its home, etc.
