I think you have to let a child know you are boss from the first confrontation...?

I teasingly say...

Bring home the baby and before you "welcome" him/her into the house...

Say ~~~ I'm the boss and you're the baby and get it straight!

But the truth there is

You have to maintrain control from the beginning.

These people who let the kids get the upper hand

are now on tv begging for "Take Home Nanny" to

rescue them.

What are your tried and true tips to be the boss and not get bowled over by the babies?

How did you establish control?

  1. I think control is a good thing. My Aunt has twin boys who are 9 and they already have cell phones, laptops, PSP's, and basically anything that they could ask for. I think it's crazy! They are just to afraid to upset them.

My son and I are best friends (so far) but he also knows that he has to listen to me.

  2. I was probably the most controled child that ever existed on this planet. I wasn't alowed to pet cats or dogs, I wasn't allowed to play with other children and so many other interdictions that would probably make your hair rise up if I would tell you. I eventually left my mother's house and I made it on my own, when I was only 17. I bet now she wishes she would have let me made my own choises. Too much control is not the right solution
