  1. Depending on the brand of cornflakes. Certain brands contain less sugar but some contain a lot (aka kid cereals).

  2. Cornflakes are one of the worst cereals you can have for breakfast in terms of glycaemic index, let alone sugar. Their GI value is high, meaning that they won't keep you full for long. Compare this to something like porridge which has a very low GI, and if you had the same size portion you would be fuller for a lot longer - this is key if you're trying to watch your weight.

  3. They are pretty much empty and devoid of nutrition...bran or whole wheat flakes are a better choice.

  4. Cornflakes are less bad for you than other cereals, because they have less sugar and carbs than most cereals.  Cheerios and shredded wheat are probably the best for you though.  Granolas are jam-packed with sugar and carbs.  Cornflakes count as fiber (roughage), but you still need to have fruit and, preferably, some protein for breakfast too...

  5. it depends of the brand of the cornflakes, but generally cornflakes have natural sugar....

  6. the maize that cornflakes are made from is actually cooked in the liquid that contains vitamins, irons and sugar addatives.

and yes cornflakes are good for you.

    but not the cheap brands.

  7. practically everything has sugar in it

but cornflakes have less than some other cereals

besides you need sugar in your diet

so they're still ok for you

just not a superfood or anything

    :]
