I thought peroxide wasnt supposed to hurt?

I always thougt peroxide wasn't supposed to burn but I just poured some in my cut finger,and it freakin stung like heck.

Was I mistaken or am I a wuss?

  1. The reason for applying peroxide is too kill bacteria and clean the area.  It may burn which many like to thing of it as knowing it is working properly.  I wouldn't worry about it.  If you don't take precautions to clean out the cut, you may have more pain if it gets infected than you'll experience from the peroxide.
