nowadays everything is made in china including all our medicines, china hates us. cool huh ?

what does independent have to do with anything? if there were only american made products available in america, everything would cost 5 times more due to much higher labor costs here than in Asia

It's not always China.  Sometimes it's Japan, or Taiwan, or Indonesia, or some other country.

The reason is that the people there are willing to work for much less than Americans.  Minimum wage in the US is around 5 or 6 dollars per hour; by manufacturing the items overseas, they can hire people who will work for under $1 per hour, thus lowering their expenses.

You are confusing politics with commerce. Independent countries are those that govern themselves, and have their own president, or king/queen. The USA is certainly independent as a country.

Then there's commerce. Most independent countries have trade relations with other countries. They allow each other's companies and firms and manufacturers and importers and exporters to do business with other countries.

So, at any given time, you will find that business is going on... buying, selling, importing, exporting - not only goods but also services. You will find things made in China, Japan, Denmark, Australia, Korea, Hong Kong, Brazil, Italy, and so forth.

And if you go to China, Italy, Brazil... yup - you guessed it! You will find things there that are made in the USA. It's trade, and it's necessary. That's how come we can have walnuts and lemons at any time of year in Australia, even if they are out of season here. It's because we bought them from you guys.
