  1. I agree and was going to ask this question myself. If he had fought a great counter-puncher like Marquez, he would have been barbequed! He is way too full of himself. A top fighter would time him and KO him. You can say that he has only 10 fights, but he has 400 amateur fights. I think he is pretty set in his ways by now and won't get much better. The Peterson brothers are much better prospects.

  2. Gamboa is exciting, since he brings a lot of action, but that's not to be confused with highly skilled talent. With that said, I do agree he is amateurish, but he is still somewhat early into his pro career, so perhaps he'll turn it around within the next couple of fights.

  3. even though he's had 400 amature career fights, fighting as a pro is a lil different. I think with only 9 pro fights he is still too green. Give him a couple years to get some experience and he'll be good enough to fight the top 10 guys at 130

  4. I disagree with you. The guy is power and speed, a rare combination. I think Gamboa IS ready to fight pacquiao. The guy is kind of short but with that power and if he can move up to 140 I think he can be as fast as Floyd but with more power.

I would like to see Floyd vs Gamboa.
