I told his girlfriend that he cheated.?

I met this guy at work. We hung out a few times and he eventually kissed me. We met up a few more times and made a habit out of making out and whatnot. I later found out about his girlfriend, and being that I have integrity, I HAD to tell her. She was very sweet and kind about my approach and I felt so bad for her when she was obviously getting very emotional. I'm sure she'll break up with him, and now I'm happy to say that he's left without either one of us. Lying, cheap piece of sh*t. But ... can someone explain to me why the HECK I feel bad? This was the right thing to do. She had a right to know, and aside from him getting mad everything played out smoothly!

I did the same thing except the guy had a kid with her but they weren't married. I feel terrible, BUT I know it was the right thing to do because I do NOT condone cheating no matter what. so I'm sorry that the truth ruined their family. But it was going down the s*****r anyway. I just brought out the reality of the situation that neither of them wanted to face but had to eventually before things got WAY too out of hand. Imagine him cheating on her after they got married or something and their kid grows up and walks in on daddy with mommy's best friend in bed. That would be the WORST situation. They should THANK YOU.
