ignore him when he comes to talk to you. then he will tell the same people that you don't like him anymore. After a while he will come to you and say you he likes you. its a circle. keep it cool.

Act nonchalant.  Pretend that you don't care and if people ask you, admit that you did like him but now he's being a jerk by telling everyone.  Also, tell him that you are disappointed that you couldn't trust him because telling everyone was really stupid and mean.

Ok....I've heard this problem before. It's basically like when you fall in front of everyone in your school. People will talk about here and there..but within a week (maybe not even that long) people will forget and focus on other peoples flaws and saying and maybe even doings.

Stop liking him. What kind of immature jerk would do that? Popular, I presume. You are way too good for somebody like that. As for what to do? Whatever you want. May sound like a bad answer but you will look back o this 10 years from now and laugh at how trivial it is.
