I told someone i would join a robotics group with them and i really dont want to HELP!!

my neighbor is homeschooled and really sweet and nice and her mom is my godmother. she just called asking if i would join her robotics team and i didnt want to sound uninterested and so i said i would proabley do it and acted really exited. i REALLY dont want to do it and i said i would call herback as soon as my parents got home. what should i say?
