I too got something in the mail today from Atlantis Clearing house, saying I won $250,000. What is up?

Inclosed was a check from NWL Buying, Inc. The letter said "They strongly advice that you keep your winnings and claim number confidential and personal." What's up with that?

Better contact someone because if you try to deposit it and it bounces they have your bank account number then and can take out money electronically according to what I understand. why would they want you to tell anyone if they plan to rip you off..I have heard about things like this and been warned about it in the past.

If it is legitimate I am your best friend. I doubt if it is a legitimate check read it again read it over carefully and if it is fraud contact the BBB your bank etc. My bank Compass warns constantly about such checks and schemes.

i/ve gotten calls sayin i won a car, 25,000 n other b.s. they said i entered in a drawing for a car n i won. buh i never did. Also, why would ppl just give away 250,000 for a random person.

Its mostly likely just junk mail. Its not real and probably some sort of scam where you end up paying money or some sort of deposit and then you'll recieve some sort of bonus (ie $250,000) or something stupid like that.
