If you have the link to the group's homepage you can then go to it which will look something like this: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/group-name and then click on the "Join this Group" button.

If this group is moderated (meaning that all new memberships have to be approved by the owner and moderator) it may take a day or two for the membership request to be approved depending on how busy they are.

Sometimes groups will be moderated to protect the group from spammers being a big problem at the site.

If the site doesn't work you can also send an e-mail to the group's subscribe address which will look something like this: [e-mail]
