I took 75 mg of diphenhydramine, is that enough for a good high?

Thats the equivalent of taking three Tylenol PMs (the standard dose is two). You'll sleep super soundly tonight and feel like **** tomorrow when you get up. Thats about it.

I wouldn't recommend taking any more though, there are far safer ways to get a good high.

First of all, none of the above know what they're talking about.  Yes, diphenhydramine can give you a "high," but I wouldn't recommend it.  First of all, as someone who has experimented in the past (although not deliberately with benadryl), I've never really approved drug use that one can't get some sort of benefit from, as far as interesting mental states, increased self-awareness, whatever...

The thing about diphenhydramine is that it's a deleriant, similar to datura, I suppose, for the best comparison.  It differes from a psychedelic or a disassociative in that, especially at increased doses, you don't know that you're tripping.  You see real hallucinations in the classical sense instead of the distortions on perspective that one would get from a psychedelic.  Because you don't realize that what you see isn't real, you can see the obvious potential for danger.

Also, you probably won't even remember most of the hallucinations anyway.  My experience with Benadryl is quasi-dream-quasi-hallucination loops where I re-live a future moment five or six different times, exactly the same way, thinking each of them is real.  Or there was the time that purple smoke started coming out of the walls...

The only reason I've ever messed with Benadryl is because I've got severe food allergies (think anaphalaxis), and didn't have the time/money to go to the ER if chugging a half a bottle of liquid Benadryl could be just as effective at keeping me from dying.  I just have never derived any pleasure from a Benadryl high, and in fact find them mildly irritating.  If your object is to get high, stick with pot.  It's far safer, far more interesting, and more pleasant an experience.

Are you serious??? All that is is Benadryl. It will make you sleepy & a little dizzy at best. It's an antihistamine....usually taken for allergies.
