  1. It takes between a week and 2 weeks for the (HCG) trigger shot to get out of your system.  When I had an IUI, we got enough pregnancy tests to check daily as it left my system.  It was nice to see a positive pregnancy test because of the trigger shot - too bad our IUIs didn't result in pregnancy.

The trigger shot gives you pregnancy symptoms and the progesterone makes you feel pregnant as well.

    Fingers crossed your pregnant!

  2. Tenderness in the abdomin and bloating can be pregnancy symptoms . . . but they are also known side effects from the progesterone.  Progesterone slows down your digestion causing these types of issues.

As to the test . . . hcg triggers like ovidrel can give you a false positive if you test too early.  I would wait a few days (closer to 2 weeks past your IUI) and test again with first morning urine.  7 - 8 days past your IUI was really early to be testing on a home pregnancy test.

Good luck and loads of baby dust!

  3. If you only had an IUI a week ago you wouldn't get a positive yet.

Implantation takes anywhere from 4-10days so yuor egg would have been fertilised and is now making it's way down into your uterus and going to implant.
