I took a pregnancy test yesturday but i havent had my period yet it came back negative is it 2 early?

you don't say how late you are but unless your period is really late i wouldn't worry just yet  give it a few more days then do another test

Pregnancy tests determine an negative or positive result based on the amount of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) in your urine, this is a hormone produced during pregnancy. Early on in preganancy , the hormone level is very low , and it rises everyday, therefore yes , it may be to early on to get a positive result. However if your period is very late , it could be another issue and you should see your GP. If not and its just a few days late , wait a few days(about 2 or 3) , and take another test, if you are pregnant, your HCG levels should be high enough to detect by this stage. Good luck :)

Sometimes periods are late and sometimes pregnancy tests are wrong. If you strongly suspect that you may be pregnant, the best thing would be to get an accurate blood test. Go to Planned Parenthood and they can do it for you. The sooner the better.
