I took expired Vistaril 50mg, will I be ok?

It expired 2 years ago and I got it mixed up with a newer Rx of the same thing...not sure why I didn't throw the old one out but anyway...I took an expired one. Will I have any strange reactions to this? It's just an antihistamine, right?

Vistaril is a drug that mostly just loses its effect as it expires. Some drugs, like tetracyclines, become toxic after expiration. But you don't have to worry about that with this one.

you should be fine. It just loses its potency. Probably wont work at all.

call your doctor, pharmacist, or Poison Control.  clean your house more often.
