I got my period on July 29 and it lasted 11 days. It went away for 3 days and came back for 3 days (very light...but red). My husband and I have been having unprotected s*x, also.

Now I have swollen hands, legs and feet. Could this be a sickness or something? Could this be a result of coming off of the shot?

  1. not sure go get checked out but ive heard that it takes about a year to get pregnant after you get off the shot

  2. I hate this shot. With my first son they gave it to me at the hospital. I never got another one. I also did not quit bleeding for 8 months. Every day for 8 months I had my period. My dr had to put me on all kinds of meds to try to make me stop bleeding. It took 8 months to fix a shot that is suppose to last for 3 months. NEVER EVER GET THIS SHOT!!!!!

  3. If its your first shot ever I don't know if it will protect you from becoming pregnant? It does mess your period up for a while after starting though. I remember I still bled on & off for 6 months after my first shot. I don't know whats going on with the swelling? It could be from heat, water retention or tight clothing? After being on the depo for about a year it took me 2 years to get pregnant again - but I guess its different for everyone but still be careful unless you do want to get pregnant?

  4. I think that it is from coming off of the shot. You will probably be regular again in a couple of months.

  5. one of the reasons that i hate the shot.. a woman is meant to have a period once a month..after coming off the shot.. a woman can have a horrible messed up cycle.. and a period of infertility.
