Did you wash your hands right after? You would need to get the blood into your body. And if blood with HIV is outside the body it starts to die once it hits the air.

Remember, most diseases from blood have to contact your blood before you can contract a disease from it. If it were that easy there would be no surgeons left on the planet. lol
