  1. Yes.

  2. If you need the pitching more than the hitting, go for it. Cantu isn't going to stop, so remember that you will be giving up someone who is going to hit 20-25 homeruns and 90 rbi

  3. Well it depends if you want the pitching then go for it, If you want hitting don't 'Cause Jorge Cantu is hot right now. If it was up to me and I din't need either I wouldn't do it.

  4. yes

  5. i would do the deal. lots of analysis has already been given so i will simply throw my 2 cents (although this depends on #of teams in league). when healthy, bedard is a legitimate ace or top #2. litsch and cantu are both slightly more valuable than what you can scrounge on the waiver wire. i would do the deal and look for a pickup to replace the power...there are loads of serviceable guys and netting bedard for spare parts is huge.

look for cody ross, jeff  baker, adam laroche...i like to sort by rank in the last month and pick players who have been playing hot or are heating up (look at their last week stats too).

  6. Bedard is fast approaching "southpaw Harden" status. Very good when healthy, but a possible DL stint looks to be on the horizon.

IF he is healthy for the 2nd half, you can expect 6 wins (he is in Seattle, remember), an ERA under 3 and a WHIP under 1.1. This is only going to be about 100 innings, but if you are in the battle for ERA and WHIP points he is worth a roll of the dice.

Litsch may win more games than Bedard, but expect an ERA around 4 and a WHIP near 1.3. That is the kind of pitcher you find on the waiver wire every day.

Cantu is HH now (hitting hot) but he has arm problems (triceps) and you probably cannot count on him to go the next 3 months without a DL Stint.

Once he cools down (and that is coming) he is no better than corner infielders on the waiver wire.

My suggestion is get Bedard and look for a guy like  Aubrey Huff, Jeff Baker, or John Bowker on the waiver wire.
