i transplanted a very small blueberry bush in my backyard, it has already begun to start growing small blueberrys.. Will it continue to grow on its own without any other blueberry plants around or with it.... I was told for blueberry bushes to grow they have to be crossed pollanated with at least 1 more different kind of blueberry bush..

  1. Not true!

I have a VERY HUGE blueberry bush that yields about 12 quarts of blueberries to date. I live in New England and it just does fine. Keep it well fertilized, well watered ( a small trickle of water for about an hour morning or evening in dry weather) and you will garnish many rewards.

However if this one does well as it should you just might consider adding another for the benefit of the fruit. i intend on doing so next year.
