  1. Travelling not that hard. In the hotels and tourism areas you will find someone who speaks english, But you can't live here without knowing the language and you would find no job. In everyone ask for spanish as it's normal. Could somebody who doesn't speak english work in the US?

  2. Unless you have an EU passport it will be impossible to find legal work.  And there is very little illegal work available, particularly for someone who can't speak the language.

  3. A lot will depend on where you go. To find a job within a company will be practically impossible without speaking a very high level of Spanish, with native English there are jobs available such as waiters or bar tenders but these tend to be on the coast where tourists concentrate and would probably be seasonal work only.

    Obviously owning your own business avoids the direct need to speak the language but the unavoidable difficulties in performing the necessary administrative duties and communicating with customers could mean that running a business would be very challenging indeed.

  4. if youre in tourist areas, easy.

    if you go into central spain, consider this;

    you cannot speak spanish, how do you say *can i have a job please?*

  5. Do not listen to anyone but yourself. Seriously, if it is something you have dreamed of doing then you have to just go for it. If things dont work out... hey you can always return home and try again some day, but my advice to you is if you have your heart set on doing something you should do it ;-)

    good luck.
