How come people like Sharon Osbourne can bring them on planes?

We as a society tend to allow 'famous' people to bend the rules.  Obviously they can't break the law (maybe in some cases), but if they can get away with something that 'everyday' people can't, you can bet they'll try.  I think it gives a feeling of power as well.
