I tread among the autumn leaves

Quiet as they are

I make a sound no one can hear

But it goes very far

The wind blows thus and shakes the leaves

Foraging for food

It tells me tales that help me find

To do what next I should

They are my only companions left

In this forlorn world

For the rest have abandoned me

Each night alone I curl

This solitude engulfs me so

Each night and every day

As I sit alone and wonder

If leaves can replace my say

  1. this is so simple im sorry to say i think it explains a lost girl wanting help but put a little more intensity build hope but besides its a great poem keep it up!

  2. The beginning seems to be a person walking in the Autumn leaves, but the rest confuses me and seems that the leaves themselves are the protagonist moving through their own leafy pile.

Would you clarify this for me, please.

    T.

  3. Nicely done, a couple of meter falters, but not enough to detract from the rhythm or the subject at hand.

  4. greatness.
