I treat my cat like he's my child. Is that so bad?

My friends make fun of me all the time, because i know when my cat doesn't want me to leave. ( he blocks the door as soon as i grab my keys). is it so bad that i worry about him when i'm gone? he is my pet and he's like my child, so i do spoil him quite a bit. he only drinks water when i fill th sink up, he won't even touch his water dish. i do feed him a little bit of tuna and chicken when i eat, and it's not alot , maybe a pinch of each. he always meows real loud when i cook food. he's my baby, he follows me everywhere... he IS like my CHILD!!!

I treat my cat like a baby too and wouldn't want it ne other way, i'm even getting a second kitten to keep him company when im out.

My cat hardly ever drinks from his water bowl but have a glass of water on the table for me and he can't keep his head out. Make sure he knows where his water bowl is if needs be dip his head gently in it, but he will drink when he needs to. If he is having wet food he may be getting plenty of water from that.

Be careful giving him people food can be bad for his digestion, you can buy cat treats if you want to treat him x
