I tried 2 make an online rail ticket reservation thru irctc,i got an error message&amount dedected.pls help m?

I used SBI ATM-***-DEBIT card & tried 2 book a second class sleeper ticket from Ba'lore to Kochuveli(Rs 318).After making payment i got a communicatin error message, but amount is dedected from my account. can i got the money back, if yes what i want to do. pls giv me a possible solution...........

  1. it happened 2 me b4 n i contacted them....they said that if the seats are not reserved,,,u'll get ur money back in 2 or 3 days......u can still contact them......

  3. Dont worry at all. Just check the "my bookings" section, if the ticket doesnt appear there, that means you need to re-book. Just book again, and dont worry about the transaction that did not materialise, the deducted amount from your bank account will automatically be credited in a week's time.

  4. whenever you want to book rail tickets go to www.indianrail.gov.in this is the official site.

    now i cannot do anything about your money . but i shall tell you to lodge a complaint in your nearest railway station telling them the site name you booked from

  5. YOU JUST LOSE YOUR RS.318 BUT I LOSE RS.2227.THEY REFUNDED THE MONEY IN 3 DAYS.IF YOU STILL DID NOT BELIEVE YOU CAN GIVE ME YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD SO THAT I CAN CHECK WHETHER YOU CAN E-MAIL AT CARE@IRCTC.CO.IN TO TALK TO CUSTOMER CARE.

  6. they will credit your a/c with the amount deducted

  7. They usually refund the amount in case of failed bookings. It happened to me twice and i was refunded on both occasions.

    If you are worried you can contact their customer service.
