I tried burning the songs that I purchased from Itunes to a cd but I get a message it is not allowed?

I have only had trouble since I bought my new computer I was able to burn the purchased songs to cd with Windows XP Why cant I do it now

  1. the songs are copyrighted.

    as a result of the digital millennium copyright act,duplication software

    and hardware must prevent the duplication of copyrighted content.

    the songs would have to be 'ripped' to circumvent this.

    doing so could be violating copyright laws.
