Yes but if you want to watch one show while taping another then you'll need 2 converter boxes. If you don't care about that, your antenna input will go into the converter box, then output the converter box to the vcr in, then vcr out to tv in. With that setup, you will have to put the converter box on whatever station you want to record then set the vcr up to record on channel 3.

  1. The set up sounds correct.  For testing, try connecting the converter box directly to the TV to verify that you are getting something out of the box.  If you are then reconnect it as above.

    Some things to check, the VCR must be turned on and the TV VCR switch must be in the TV position.  Also the VCR must be tuned to the same channel the converter box is outputting (usually 3 or 4) and the TV must be tuned to the channel the VCR is outputting (usually 3 or 4).  You could try playing a tape in the VCR to verify that the TV to VCR part is working.  Make sure you eject the tape because, on some machines, that will keep the Input from passing through the VCR to the TV.
