  1. Maybe try typing in "http://" before "www.yahoo.com/"

Also try clicking on "apply" before you save settings.

This should help I hope? :)

  2. try changing it in the registry

open notepad and paste the text below (starting with the line Windows Registry Editor...) into it. i just put yahoo.com, but you can change it to whatever you want.

in the 3rd line (2nd line is blank) delete all the spaces, I added a space before and after the backslashes so that everything would show up here on yahoo answers. yahoo truncates very long strings of text. from the "[" to the "]" is all one line, but keep the space between "Internet" and "Explorer"

save it as a file on your desktop. close notepad. change the file extension from .txt to .reg

doubleclick on the file and click yes to enter the value into the registry

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Main]

    "Start Page"="http://www.yahoo.com"

  3. Go to Yahoo homepage and at the top of the page it should have a link that says Make Y! your home page. Click that and it should work.

  4. when u go to tools go down and click on internet potions, and then type it in as www.yahoo.com, and then push apply, and then click on okay
