I tried to narrate on my laptop...?

and the quality of the sound stank it was always buzzing and the voice wasn't clear, i was using the mic that was built in my laptop, and my laptops vista if that helps, so what is a good quality mic that is reasonably priced?

You can get a good noise cancelling headset for eight bucks at any neighborhood electronics store.  I'm not a fan of branding, but I've never had a problem with any plantronics products, so they may be the exception to my general rule regarding generalizing.
