  1. A Yahoo server could have been down.  If so, it should be working by now.  Your system can't access the server because your firewall is blocking the request.  Try turning off your firewall(s) and see what happens.  You might have some spyware playing games with DNS and IP requests.  Make sure you system is clean of adware/spyware.  Lavasoft Ad-aware 2007 is good and it is free!
