  2. Those things are good ideas.  Driving sensibly and accelerating slowly will have the biggest impact on your mileage.

Yes, filling up your tank is a good idea anyway, and it also can prevent condensation from building up and possibly causing damage ... with newer cars its doesn't really matter tho.

  3. The rpm thing is fine I drive the same way most of the time that is gears to almost 3g before shifting because its a manuel shift. But the keeping your tank full is questionable. To get better gas mileage you want to be light weight so less gas the better but I'd say that its such a small difference in gas mileage that its taken away by having to run to the gas station more often so just fill it up and don't fill it again until you need to. Peace!

  4. No it wont hurt anything, filling the tank at half is good .

  5. It does have a lot to do with how you drive the car.  Like you said, keeping the rpms down is a good idea.  And no, it won't hurt your car.  In fact, it'll probably prolong it's life.

Some other ways to cut gas mileage:

Don't use your air conditioning unless it's necessary.

If you're driving faster than usual, keep your windows rolled up to eliminate drag.

Keep your tires inflated properly, but don't over inflate, as is will cause damage.

Keep regular maintenance, such as changing your oil and spark plugs.

Those are more important than rpms in the long run.

  6. Both are good things to do.
