I turn 28 in January. If i sign papers for the coast guard now when is my deployment for boot camp? ?

Coast Guard's age limit for active enlistment is 28. I want to know if i can still sign up.

  1. with most of the services you usually ship out within a month of signing, unless you ask for a delay, they usually try to get you out ASAP so you should be alright.


  2. your a$$ has to be in boot camp before your 28. but anywho, you usually ship out in a couple months after you sign up.

  3. Yes, you can, but with some limits.  Basic is full up to Oct 14th, the longer you wait to talk to a recruiter the longer it will be before you can go.  If you're serious get off this board where you get alot of uninformed opinions and call a recruiter.  1 877 NOW-USCG.
