I understand India's sewer system is subpar. Do people still dump f***s out the window in buckets there?

I'm trying to understand why there is so much typhoid and malaria, things of that nature. Is it due to poor sanitation or hygiene? I also understand trash doesn't get collected very much and it builds up and stenches.

I don't know about out the window, but they do go outside, without the outhouse.  As do many other less developed countries.
